  • A) For CS Designation , specify Type B to avoid carbon level 0.02%
  • B)When a deoxidized steel is required for application , CS and FS may be ordered to a minimum of 0.01% total aluminium

  • A) Where an ellipsis(***) appears in this table , there is no requirement ,but the analysis shall be reported
  • B)The sum of copper , nickle , chromium and molybdenum shall not exeed 0.50% on heat analysis . When one or more of these elements are specified , the sum does not apply ; in which case , only the individual limits on the remaining unspecified elements will apply . The limits for steel whose carbon content is 0.02% or less are :

Heat analysis                      0.045%
Product analysis                  0.055%

  • C) If the hardness result is 85 HRB or higher , no tension test is required
